After a year and six months of work, the Fantasy Toggle expansion has been added for FREE!

Ahoy Itch.io lads!

For those of you who have been following development, this is an exciting moment! For the rest of you, allow me to explain.

The Caribbean Sail was intended to be a fairly accurate 1700's sailing game, but, the scope kept growing and I wanted to implement fantasy content without compromising the original experience by making it optional.

How do I enable fantasy mode?

Start a new profile and light the green flame in the lantern by clicking it, that's all! You'll be met with a new storyline and a ton of new content!

What has been added?

Here's the short rundown of what I was able to implement in a year and a half: An optional Fantasy mode, four new locations, seven new professions, nine new ships, four new storylines, seven new shanties, eleven new achievements, a boatload of new events, a whole host of new encounters, new opportunities, an ammunition system, treasure hunting, walking the plank, airships, megalodons, the kraken, and more particle effects than you can shake a harpoon at!

Final Notes

The launcher I made that you might be using is no longer viable so you'll have to download and unzip the new version the old fashioned way. Online functionality for bottle messages has been taken offline to prevent a rare game crash that was beyond my control. 2890 messages written by the community have been manually moderated and added so that the fun wouldn't have to end though! You can also still write more to throw into your own message pool!
